General Information:

Congratulations to our newest piccolos; Emma Burrows, Adelaide (Addi) Bush, Julie Carey, Shannon Fitzpatrick, Erin Johnson, Katie Majewski, Rebecca (Becca) Melendez, Elise Nieman, Hillary Rowley-Weiss and Lauren Valadez!

The Marching Illini Piccolo section contains 20 players, all girls this year. We have a variety of majors, from Music Education to Urban Planning to Biology and Chemistry. Check back soon for our bios.

We are one of the smallest sections in the band, and one of the most competitive to get in to. Since there are only 20 spots total, there are usually only a few spots that open up each year. Normally 16 piccolos march in each pregame and halftime performance.
